Sunnking First In Line To Register For NYS Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act
Sunnking Electronics Recycling is the second electronics recycling facility in New York State to register under the Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act.

ROCHESTER, NY, January 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sunnking Inc. (www.sunnking.com), an electronics recycling company based in Brockport, NY was the second electronics facility to register for New York State's new Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act. The new law, which was signed on May 28, 2010 by Governor Patterson, requires manufacturers of electronic equipment to accept electronic waste for collection, handling, recycling or reuse beginning April 1, 2011. Covered electronic equipment includes computers (as well as accessories such as monitors, keyboard and printers), televisions, and "small electronic equipment," which includes portable digital music players, video recorders and video game consoles.

Electronics recycling facilities such as Sunnking are required to have registered with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation by January 1, 2011, and any sites that begin operations after January 1, 2011 must register with the DEC at least thirty days prior to receiving any electronic waste. Owners/operators of electronic waste collection sites must also submit an annual report to the DEC detailing their operations beginning March 1, 2012, for the period of April 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011 and each calendar year thereafter.
