Erica Bonkosky-Montefusco manages the activities of renewable energy enterprises to ensure compliance with environment, health, safety and security policies issued by government agencies

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA, May 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Erica Bonkosky-Montefusco, Director of Health, Security and Safety at Green Plains Renewable Energy Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in environmental activism.

A seasoned professional with 13 years of experience, Ms. Bonkosky-Montefusco ensures compliance with environmental policies. She works with government agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Transportation, Alcohol Tobacco Tax and Trade bureau and OSHA, for whose policies she supervises the production, handling, storage and transportation of hazardous materials. In addition, she oversees the regulatory compliance of nine ethanol plants and 15 grain elevators. Though passionate about conservation, she became involved in her profession through her interest in energy production, attributing her success in large part to her vision, networking and process-optimization activties.

Ms. Bonkosky-Montefusco received a master's degree in geology from Michigan State University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a bachelor's degree in anthropology and social science from The University of Oklahoma. She is a member of the Iowa RFA and serves as a district commissioner for Soil and Water Conservation in the state of Iowa. She is also a member of the Association of Nebraska Ethanol Producers and the National Safety Council.
