Mr. Pettifer has over 40 years of specialized and varied program direction, management and investigation experience in earth resource, environment, water, irrigation and mining sectors in Australia and overseas, in the private sector and the Australian, Victorian and PNG Governments.

Geoff has extensive experience in geophysics, spatial sciences, community engagement, strategic policy development and review for information and asset management in water authorities and geological organizations, and sustainable development in catchment and irrigation management. His geophysical technical experience covers groundwater, salinity, soil mapping, environmental, geotechnical, mining, petroleum and mineral resources, flood mapping, remote sensing and bore geophysical logging and condition assessment.

During his collegiate career, Geoff earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Melbourne where he studied Physics, Geophysics, Geology, and Mathematics. He went on to earn a Graduate Diploma in Applied Geophysics from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Certificate in Regional Community Development and Community Engagement from Monash University. Mr. Pettifer is a member of the Australian Water Association.
