FAIRHOPE, AL, January 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Patrick Sloan, President and Chief Operating Officer of Fletcher Petroleum Corp., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in finance management.

As the President and COO of Fletcher Petroleum Corp., Mr. Sloan manages the strategic and financial planning of the company, in addition to managing its overall operations. He is responsible for developing new business opportunities, raising capital, and handling all aspects of regulatory compliance. Mr. Sloan has 25 years of experience as a senior executive of various Fortune 500 financial services companies specializing in the energy sector. In July of 2010, he formed Fletcher Petroleum Corp. with a Canadian partner.

A knowledgeable professional within his field, Mr. Sloan has spoken publicly on the subjects of risk management and capital market solutions. He has also sat on the executive management panel for global energy practice groups. He attributes his success to the manner in which the company is structured and set up; he and his partner have configured the company to outline individualized services on more of a consulting basis. Mr. Sloan became involved in his profession because he has a strong background in the financial services industry. The skill set he developed as a senior executive in the financial services industry provided him the foundation to form a startup oil company.

Mr. Sloan received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics and economics from Rice University in 1986. In years to come, he hopes to continue to build upon the success of Fletcher Petroleum.
